About Stephanie Florie

My career began in hands-on technical support and evolved into enterprise IT operations leadership.

Today, I:

  • Partner with executive and business stakeholders to align IT services with organizational priorities
     
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives including relocations, onboarding programs, and operational improvements
     
  • Oversee incident management, change control, and enterprise systems for ~300 users across two state agencies
     
  • Standardize workflows, documentation, and governance processes to improve efficiency and business continuity
     
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, licensing management, and technology deployments
     

I hold an MBA from The College of William & Mary and bring both operational depth and business acumen to every initiative.

Interests

Beyond IT, I contribute to organizations I’m passionate about: the W&M Richmond Alumni Association, W&M OGSAC, and the Henrico Humane Society. Volunteering allows me to give back while supporting community, education, and animal welfare initiatives.

The real me

I’m curious by nature and love exploring new ideas—whether that’s diving into the world of bowling, learning about IT systems, or working on projects that connect people and communities. I try to bring thoughtfulness, energy, and a little humor to everything I do, guided by a simple principle: I aim not to be the worst part of anyone’s day. (And if I ever am, that’s okay—it probably means they’re having a pretty amazing day.)

Resilience and adaptability matter as much as planning and skill, and I try to balance persistence with listening, learning, and enjoying the journey along the way. When I’m not working or writing, you’ll likely find me volunteering, connecting with friends and alumni, or hanging out with my three cats—and my two Borzoi, who are basically giant cats in disguise.

  • Animals & Rescue Cats: I adore cats of all shapes and sizes — fostering, advocating, and celebrating their personalities is a joy.
  • Storytelling & Writing: I’m about halfway through collaborating on a book about bowling, blending research, strategy, and narrative. 
  • Learning & Growth: From technology trends to process optimization and leadership strategies, I’m always exploring ways to grow professionally and personally.
  • Good Food & Coffee Conversations: Sharing meals, coffee, or ideas with friends, colleagues, and community members is one of my favorite ways to connect.

I am an IT Operations and Service Delivery professional with over a decade of experience supporting government and enterprise organizations. My work focuses on translating business needs into scalable technology solutions, improving operational workflows, and strengthening service delivery across teams.
